How do I monetize my creator studio on Facebook

Facebook is becoming a stream of income for a lot of people and that is possible through their creator studio initiative. If you want to monetize your content on Facebook, then here’s what you need to do.

Are You Eligible? Before getting into the details of how you can make money on the Facebook creator studio, you need to see if you and your page is eligible for monetization. There are 3 basic rules that you need to follow, if you want a green signal from Facebook for monetization:

  1. You need to follow the Facebook Community Guidelines. This is basically an ethical code/rule to ensure that your content is free from violence and not graphic in nature.
  2. Secondly, you will need to agree to the terms and conditions of Facebook Partner Monetization Policies, by posting organic and real content on your page.
  3. Lastly, you need to be in charge of your page, aka the Admin. You can’t make money if the page isn’t exclusively yours to begin with.

Collaboration with Brands

Once you’ve gone through the technical process of eligibility, now is the fun part; the ways by which you can make money on Facebook. The first way is through brand collaborations. This is beneficial for both the brand as well as the content creator. Facebook has a collaboration manager, which helps to give you a platform to connect with different brands and strike a deal. The eligibility for collaboration is having at least 1000 followers, with 15,000 engagement posts, over the last 2 months.

Ad Breaks

You can put ads in your Facebook videos, which are at least a minute long and earn money that way. You will need a minimum of 10,000 followers, along with 5 live/active videos during the last 60 days. The setup of ads can be done by clicking “Video” on the homepage, uploading the video and adding ads in the stream.

Subscriptions

If you want more independence in content creation, then Facebook offers subscriptions as well. You will need to set up a paywall for your content to be monetized. For this, you will need a minimum of 50,000 engagement posts as well as 180,000 minutes watch time, throughout 2 months. You can easily set up subscriptions by going to your page and clicking “Start Setup”, following the instructions and setting up a payment account.

Live Videos

Another way of monetizing your creator studio on Facebook is through live videos, by skipping ads and earning directly from your viewers. People watching your lives will buy Stars, a digital currency, each equivalent to $0.01, and support you by sending them to you. This also applies for past live videos, if you turn on Tipping in live streams and videos.

Facebook, like other social media platforms, is a good source of income for content creators all over the world. So, what are you waiting for? Check your eligibility and get your creator studio monetized!
