Apple: Here is How You Can Clear Your Cache on Mac

To get the best use out of wired ethernet, the use of cache is essential. However, to keep the computer running fast and efficiently, you must clear the cache after some time. The benefits of clearing the cache include better application run, prevention of irrelevant data restoring in your PC, and protecting your personal information.

A simple example of cache usage is when you access a website with your ID and password credentials. Your browser asks you for the credentials once and later, when you revisit, you do not require to repeatedly feed the same credentials. This is mainly because your credentials were loaded into the cache memory and were copied from there when you reaccessed the website.
