If you are not very tech-savvy, you might have some trouble finding somebody who can develop a mobile app for you. Fortunately, we are here to make the entire process easier for you. Here are 10 questions that are very important to ask someone before hiring them as a mobile developer.

1. Do they have any background information about mobile app development technology?

IT professionals know about the development of Java. But it's better to find those who are comfortable working on newer platforms such as iOS.

2. Are you experienced?

Somebody who has worked in this area before may know of every technicality. Experience is very important when it comes to the field of mobile app development.

3. Can you tell me the names of the client you worked with in the past and are currently working with?

A lot of times, you cannot technically confirm if someone has developed a particular app. Therefore, it's important to speak directly with clients that a person has worked with to verify.

4. What smartphone are you currently using?

This question may not sound very significant, but it is. If you can find out the smartphone that the person you're hiring is using, you can tell which technology they're comfortable working with. You can tell quite a lot if you can find this out.

5. What kind of unique features can you develop?

This question is self-explanatory. This will help you see why the candidate is unique.

6. What programming languages have you worked with, and have you developed any apps that are native?

One of the very important questions is finding out which demographic the mobile app developer has worked for.

7. Can we establish a contract?

It is very common for the individual hiring and paying for the development of an application to be the owner. But again, it should be written and blinded by a contract.

8. What if the things you require for the applications are not available?

This question is very tricky, and it asks the developer if they will be able to help you draft the application's requirements.

9. Have you worked on an application similar to the one that I require?

Again, this is a question about the experience. If somebody has worked on an application that is not unlike your own, they might know more about it.

10. What are your payment terms?

Once you have all the above questions answered and they satisfy you, you can move on to payment. Ask the person what they charge for their services and establish a contract about the payment.

Therefore, this process which is anxiety-inducing for mobile app developers can be made much easier. All you need to do is ask the questions as mentioned earlier. If you get satisfactory answers, then you know who to hire.
